Find out how to make an easy DIY dry shampoo with essential oils in this post!
Did you wake up late? Or don’t have enough time to wash and dry your hair before heading out? Two words – DRY SHAMPOO! Dry shampoo is a hair care product that involves using dry powdered ingredients (like herbal powders, clays or corn starch) to keep your hair looking and feeling clean.
The most common ingredients to make dry shampoo are corn starch and arrow root powder, with a touch of cinnamon/cocoa powder for darker hair. For redheads, you can use hibiscus powder or beetroot powder! For blonde hair, using arrow root powder is enough.
Why add essential oils to your dry shampoo? You may do without essential oils in your dry shampoo recipe. BUT if you want your hair to smell gorgeous as well as look luscious, then you MUST add essential oils to your dry shampoo! Besides, essential oils also serve other purposes such as:
- Soaking up excess oils on the scalp and hair
- Fighting dandruff
- Soothing irritated scalp
- And more!
