Before we move on to the recipe, let’s first see the ingredients in this shower gel and how they work:
Make Shower Gel Using Essential Oils & Other Natural Ingredients
In this shower gel with essential oils, we’ll be using completely natural ingredients that work just as well as conventional products, if not better!
Here’s how each of the ingredients we’ll be using help:
» Unscented Liquid Castile Soap – This is your soap ingredient or the one that’s going to make your shower gel lather. It’s an all-natural plant based soap and it’s so gentle that you can use it for sensitive skin and on babies’ skin too!
» Raw Honey – Raw honey is very nourishing to the skin and a natural humectant which pumps water into skin cells, keeping them well hydrated. It’s also an emulsifier which binds the essential oils together with the rest of the ingredients.
» Jojoba Oil – Jojoba oil has a similar molecular structure to that of our skin’s own natural oils so it’s a perfect oil to use for healthy skin. It’s moisturizing and keeps skin moisturized and soft.
» Vegetable Glycerine – This ingredient gives the shower gel a slippery consistency that’s good for lathering. It is also a natural humectant and emulsifier as well.
» Lemon Verbena & Palma Rosa – A beautiful essential oil scent blend, lemon verbena and palma rosa are two heavenly smelling essential oils that create a most luxurious shower gel. They also have antimicrobial properties, beautify and firm skin as well as antioxidant properties which lengthen the life of this shower gel.
